The most valuable thing for you and your company is your integrity. You should honor your word when you market something. Don't promise things you cannot keep when putting your company out there.

Hey everybody! Welcome back to the Marketing Drive. I am Chris Doelle and this is to show where I use my commute time to talk about one actionable marketing plan or idea or technique or more so, whatever you wanna call it. I want to talk about marketing integrity today, I think it's very, very important and usually overlooked. Everybody wants to make serious. They say what's legal in their marketing you don’t want to make wild atlantis claims like 5 bits lotion and you put it on and you will instantly drop 20 years, but I’m talking really 20 years dropped not appear 20 years younger and you see it like that and you know they’re not credible but you know they keep doing it. I think your integrity is so important. It’s at the end of the day the most valuable thing that you have, so you have to protect it at all times and the only way to honor your integrity and honor your word is to be authentic in what you say. I’d like say as as example about gays are being truth but I wanna make the decisions about being authentic about being real. That’s what the whole concept marketing strategy that has exploded in the marketing world that talks about valid that’s about being real, you know if you talk to me about it and you listen to this show you know that I play safe huge premium being real, showing you customers that you are who you say you are and you are not painting yourself to be somebody you’re not and most importantly you live up to what you did say you’re gonna, either you provide a great project or great service. It’s everything. Take a look at what you’re saying in you ads. Resist with every fiber of your being, the urge to put something that says “ahhh we’re amazing, we’re outstanding” and you maybe, but again, don’t fluff it up. So a lot of people, you may have a friend that you’ve known for decades and you would sell an idea, concept, product to that friend and having it a bit differently that you would sell it to a complete stranger. At the end of the day you would sell it to your friend differently, you will say okay this is what it is, I think it’s great, I'm a huge fan of this product, this service, this brand, this movie whatever it is you're trying to inform your friend about, you just slay it out, this is something I like, I take it positively and I think it's a really good to feel. Whereas to a stranger, you'd say something like, 2000 estimates sale blah blah blah you know, see you this magazine, blah blah blah, you don't do that when you're talking to a friend, you don't paint it with that professional paint brush and that's the key. Get rid of that professional paint brush and paint it real, that's what resonates to people, that what lets the potential customer know, it's not trying to pay a boost for me or the decision to sales technique have been manipulated in the buying something, this is something, this is guy or girl, firmly believes it. So, pay attention to your authenticity, being real in your marketing message and then doing so keeping your integrity intact.
