Today, I want to talk about "Origins". Specifically, your origin story because so much of your story, so much of your marketing is who you are, what your story is. So, I want to talk about your origin. What is the origin story you have. You’ve got some great examples, Apple Computer and Hewlett-Packard, both talking about starting in a garage. Their stories are a little bit embellished because Apple Computer did start officially in a garage but Steve Jobs  was working at Hewlett-Packard. So, it wasn’t like two kids with no connections to computer world just decided to start a computer company in a garage. Yes, it did happen but the part they tell is the part about starting in a garage. So, in fact, my own origin story where Fresh Media Works is, I was a serial entrepreneur from Junior High, my first company was a bicycle repair shop, basically, I'd love tinkering with bikes. So, I quickly found out I was fixing a whole lot of people's bikes in the neighborhood. Started a business, started not only fixing them, repairing flats, basic things like that but I was putting together whole bicycles and then selling them, buying the Junkers and fixing them up, cleaning them up and turning them into a profit. From Junior High all the way through now,  I’ve always owned my own company and about 20 years ago, it dawned on me. This is after taking Psychology in college, it dawned on me that the thing that all my companies had in common, beside the fact that they were successful, that they were making money, they were being a source of enjoyment for me, was that I was marketing all of them. It just, like I said, dawned on me about 20 years ago, Hey I really need to be marketing. Instead of, I had a computer support company, a video production company at that time, also, had an audio production company that were just getting into the whole cutting-edge thing called podcast, but yes there is something that the thing that they all had in common was that I was always in common in marketing each of them  and that's Fresh Media Works was born. So that's my origin story, and that is what makes it easier to kind of get a feel for my company and feel like you know me, that's what the origin stories all about. That's what all of your marketing is about. It's about telling your story but the origin in particular, is one that you need to pay attention to. Take a look at where your company start. Let's say you’re an HVAC guy, you do air conditioning. Did you go to HVAC school and hang out a sign and then all set you in business or did you mentor with somebody, intern or somebody? Or were you just tinkering on yours and discovered  "Hey! I have a knack for this. Tell your story! And in telling that story, it will really help customers feel more comfortable with you because again, as usual, it lets them know, you’re a human. We all love to do business with humans. We cannot stand to do business with a business. So that's your take away today. Think about your origin story, if you haven't figured it out and I'm not saying lie about it but put it into a package. Make it tell a story. It's not that hard. You don't have to make anything up. You don't have to be deceitful and come up with some crazy amazing story, because your story is amazing! You just need to tell people.
